The weather was not as good as last year but that didn't dampen the friendly atmosphere of those who turned up. The children all seemed to enjoy themselves. The Airtrack was a popular attraction as were the carrousel and swings. Nick, Michael and Glenn started out with the puzzle of putting up the first gazebo taking about 20 minutes. When the rain did start and the second gazebo was required Nick and Andrew were professionals by that time and managed to errect it in about 5 minutes.

During the AGM the existing committee was re-elected unanimously.

Caroline gave the Chairman's report, which included her opinions on the future structure of the club, emphasising that she thought it was important to maintain the squad and not become "rec-only". She also thanked all the coaches and committee members for their hard work throughout the year.

Glenn gave his report as head coach, again thanking everyone, and Andrew, as Treasurer, gave a brief update on club finances.

Missing from this year's BBQ were Angela, Tim and Chloe, who had another engagement. However, Dawne came, with Tom - more or less on time - to ensure that the BBQ didn't go to pieces in her absence.

Despite the drizzle the coals on the barbie worked fine and did their job. The weather was actually pleasantly warm, and the gazebos did a great job for those afraid of the wet.
