Club Championships 2008
The Club Championships were held on January 27th 2008.
Once again they were held at Kingston Gymnastics
in Milton Keynes, a very nice facility.
With around ninety gymnasts competing, this was the largest
championships the club has held.
The day was a great success, thanks to the hard work of all the coaches,
committee members, gymnasts and many helpful parents.
Despite some nerves, all the gymnasts performed well, in particular the
gymnasts who had not performed in competition before.
At the medal ceremony, it was great to see many gymnasts receiving
their first competitive medals. Harriet Bruce was awarded the trophy for
Senior Club Champion. Annabel Clifton won the Range and Conditioning
trophy. The John Goodgame trophy, voted for by the coaches,
was awarded to Amy Plant.
Participation medals were awarded to all gymnasts, well deserved due
to the positive attitudes and hard work of them all.
Special thanks to Jessica Marmalade (a.k.a. Laura Honey) for manning
the microphone for the day, introducing and interviewing gymnasts.
The tombola and raffle were well supported and raised a valuable
contribution to club funds - thanks to all who participated.
