European Invitational MK 2008
Bicester Gymnasts struggle against tough competition. There were
over 265 competing gymnasts from all over the country and although
Bicester gymnasts performed at their best they were up against some
very polished competitors. It was down to those minute details
like stretched fingers and pointed toes. The first group didn't
manage any medals but all competing gymnasts came home with a
lovely certificate and rosette.
Brodie Logan was competing at Moscow level and won a gold and
silver medal for her efforts. Savannah Dodds was also competing
in Moscow and won a bronze medal.
We had Tabitha Saltzer, Amy Deller, Jess Pitts, Annabelle Clifton,
Gemma Sole and Sam Brock competing in the highest level of the day
which was Athens. The standards were very high with gymnasts
performing very high level moves like somersaults on beam, double
twisting straight somersaults on tumble and trampette. Sadly,
this was out of our league but our girls tried their best and
managed their flicks on beam and Arabians on tumble. Well done to
all competitors.
Happy gymnasts
